Ping Plotter Freeware for Windows

Used Ping Plotter Freeware for Windows?

Editors’ Review

This utility lets you trace the route of packages across the Web. Its interface is not so snazzy-looking, as with some analogous programs that draw the packet route on a world map. However, Ping Plotter's charts and its highlighting of pings in red let you instantly see bottlenecks. The program enables you to track average ping times, and you can set the monitoring period and the interval between pings. You can save results as plain text or as a snapshot of the program window. Ping Plotter Freeware will be of use to system administrators.

Pros
It used to be a good program. I highly recommend it if it can be made to work
Cons
This copy does not install
Summary
Very Useful to see network delays/loss
jstefan2January 1, 2008
Pros
It is free, it showed me where packets were lost and delayed. I suspect the paid version is great, but did not need to buy it. I would buy it if I dealt with network throughput all day.
Cons
Logging is reserved for the paid version, but that is a good marketing decision.
Summary
Works as advertised!

Pros
-none-
Cons
As far as I can tell, this software fails to create a legal file name for the log file and has no chance of working. I was left hoping that I did nothing else.
Summary
Brilliant! USEFUL TOOL FOR WEB DEVELOPERS.
matthew_of_cambridgeJune 26, 2007
Pros
1. It's FREE.
2. It runs without mucking up other programs.
3. It does what it claims.
4. It runs smoothly.
5. It's very useful for figuring out which ISPs to use as web hosts in different parts of the world.
Cons
No known cons.
Summary
Simple, quick, easy, a no-brainer

Pros
1) The price.
2) It's all up front, everything you want is presented in one nice little package.
3) Ping and trace in one step. I haven't used DOS to do either since I got this program.
Cons
If anything, and this is really being trite, the graph output is so straight forward and simple, it's kind of ugly. I remember Visual Trace (back before McAfee bought it, tweaked it, then charged for it) did what this does except it also gave you a cool geographical representation of the route. Other than that, this program rocks out loud!
Summary
Does what it claims, exactly.

Pros
Easy to use,fast.
Cons
Maybe the graph should be horizontal.
