PhotoPerfect claims it is a digital photo editor's dream come true. With a plethora of options and tools to dial in your pictures, this is certainly an impressive weapon. However, its features might overwhelm novices.

This program presents itself much like other photo editing software. Anyone who has tinkered with Photoshop or comparable programs will recognize the layout of command buttons along the top and left side of the picture. Where PhotoPerfect differs from the others is that it offers fewer opportunities to physically alter the photo. It does, however, offer plenty of innovative ways to tweak a shot to get it perfect. Many of the tools available to users include traditional masks, filters, color adjustments, and the like. PhotoPerfect also offers a histogram, options for white balancing, color balancing, color saturation, distortion, and more. The most impressive was Perfectly Clear, a filter that quickly and easily adjusts vibrancy, sharpness, exposure limit, and contrast for studio-quality shots.

We were pleased with this 14-day trial's options and the ease with which they could be adjusted, since most popped up in separate screens and had sliding bars to make changes. This program will be a gem for users who do a lot of professional photo manipulation, but the options and what they specifically do to help pictures will be over the heads of many novice users. We recommend this download only for those with a serious composition background.

Offers a lot of great features for both beginners and advanced users. Great and fast basic editing available. The 1-click optimizations work like a charm. Also numerous advanced features to squeeze out the best of one's images. Great support&updates.

User interface is - although great for my taste (and age ;-) - not up to date

I think it is a love-or-hate due the GUI. In my case I love this tool. If you take your time to work through it, I'm pretty sure you will be positively surprised and overwhelmed by the sheer amount of easy-to-use features. The publisher offers 3 versions, which differ in the amount of extensions bundled. These extensions are mostly image optimization extensions. They work astonishing very well. But if you know a little, how to edit images, their cheapest basic version is IMO more than sufficient, as it already offers all needed bells and whistles. Besides it is pretty affordable and worth every dim/penny/yen... what so ever ;-)

Summary
I like the program because it's for people who like taking photos without have to get a degree in graphic arts in order to make their photos look their best before printing them. Every other program I tried, was strongly on the pixel editing side with "tools" to do this or that. Since I'm new to this digital photo process, I needed a program like this to encourage me to continue, and that is exactly what this program has done. Very pleased.

- Very fast - even on a not high-spec machine. - Versatile allrounder with numerous features - High quality output - Superb support - blazing fast response time, competent and helpful answers. - Regular updates adding new features/camera support.
Cons
Only supports sRGB as native color space. However most images/equipment are optimized for sRGB only, it still fine for me.
Summary
I've purchased the previous version and just upgraded to this one. The new version is much more responsive and offers even better output. I'm very satisfied.

This version is much better for RAW. Support latest camera's RAW. Frequently free updates - on contrary to other programs that force you to pay first.

I've been using this software since almost 2 years. And also since then I have got free updates/upgrades regularly. This version is definitely the best so far, and also faster. I've been switching to Mac lately but still keep Windows due to this tool. Kudos.

Let you easily optimize and improve your photos very quickly. Very good price/features ratio. End results are great. Very fast batch processing and easy to configure. Responsive and helpful support.

I've upgraded from the free version, which is better designed.
Summary
I'm amazed that there are that much fine tuning possibilities and options within the software. A lot of functions as well. Although I do not need all of them, it's still good to know that they are there. My husband is very glad that we have upgraded, as he likes to play with the numerous advanced features, which enables us to improve our photos tremendously. I like the batch mode, which even gets better with the new version.

It is fully packed with features. If you like to to play around, you will find a lot of advanced functionalities. If you are not on the mood for doing so, just rely on the automatic optimizations. They work pretty well. Installation is a bless.
Cons
Quite a lot of icons. May 'overimpress' newbies ;-). Wish they are a bit more stylish, but it's just me. But don't let you fool by the GUI. The program is very easy to use nevertheless.
Summary
This tool was highly recommended by a friend, who is completely satisfied. He has made a suggestion for a new feature and within 2 days, he already got a new version with that feature implemented. Although there are quite a lot of good freeware available, this program is still worth it for me, due to the much higher output quality, excellent feature sets and assured support. On contrary it is very affordable. Hint: Subscribe for their newsletter, you will will get rebate. Don't know for how long though. If you would like to play around, you will like the advanced features like scripting, batch, RAW etc. If you like it the easy way, you will love the 1-click-thingy. I have already tried the earlier version, but the new one is even better for processing RAW.

Dated user interface - but this is OK for me though as still intuitive.
Summary
Have read all reviews. There are a lot positive ones but also some not that positive, which let me hesitated a bi at first. However this is not reasonable. I'm very satisfied - see the pro. Just wondering about the previous reviewer: Has Windows 7 been released yet? If not - stupid review IMO.
