• Super useful for large Visual Studio projects

  Pros

  Lets you quickly find and navigate to files by typing a few characters of the file name. Header switch lets you quickly change to related file (.cpp -> .h, etc). Lifesavers if you have projects with lots of files. And it's free, open-source.

  Cons

  Doesn't have code refactoring & other features of some other plugins like Visual Assist X -- but those are commercial products you have to pay for

  Summary

  If you have big projects and you find yourself poking around endlessly in the solution explorer getting from file to file, you should try this. Also if you want header switch -- it's amazing that Microsoft hasn't built this feature into Visual Studio. You can find various macros on the web that you can use to sort of achieve header switch in VS, but this is a better solution. This is among the best free Visual Studio plugins you can find. (You can find commercial plugins that are more full-featured, fancier and better, but it's hard to beat free.)
