• customer service - slow, ineffective and sly

  customer service close your tickets when they can't or don't want to deal with it. customer service very slow to reply. very messy software. cannot delete past fax numbers used and customer service could not care less.

  Cons

  Fax sent was blank. They don't allow customers to preview a file before sending it. I've uploaded my pdf files in the right size and format and after the fax was sent I noticed that all pages except the cover letter were blank. There is no phone number to contact customer care, you can only send an email and wait until they decide to reply.

  love the program and it works great for faxing to private home numbers here in Switzerland or to US numbers of any kind. see cons

  unfortunately I need a fax program to send faxes to Swiss companies and 99% of the numbers for businesses start with 0848 or 0844 here. This is what makes PamFax useless because all Swiss numbers starting +41 84x are in the category 7 "special numbers" and get charged at 5USD per page! Just for info. These are the standard numbers for companies here in Switzerland and get charged at national standard phone rates nationwide. But for PamFax the go into extra high rates.

  Summary

  person to person fax on home numbers - PERFECT, person to company number in the US - PERFECT but watch out for faxing to any company in Switzerland. 99% use the area code +41 84x and this is when it gets ugly. Can use it to fax to US companies but for domestic use here impossible as I did not find any fax recipient NOT having a +41 84x number. These are assigned to companies here.

  Pros

  This has been very useful for sending faxes to europe for very competitive rates. More secure than email. Skype integration (optional). You can also fax directly from your browser via their site; you do not need to downoad anything to open a account.

  Cons

  I guess the user interface is not the most elegant in the world.

  Seem fast and stable at 3 free trial pages

  1. 50% fail rate after sign on. No free resend. 2.Sneakily charge me extra without explanation. Check your balance to make sure you are not over charged.

  1. Fail rate 50%. I send 4 times, 2 times failed. 2. I used fax on demand that is supposed to cost 12 cents a page but Pamfax sneakily added 1 cent or 2 here and there. I used one times 2 pages for 25 cents, and 3 pages for 37 cents. According to the charges, I supposed to be charged for 62 cents but I actually got charged for 74 cents which is about 15 cents a page. Even when I didn't use the fax last night, my balance was shrinked for another 2 cents for no reason. I am disgusted by their unprofessional and dishonest act. I file complain ticket but hasn't gotten any help but shrinking balance.

  I contracted PamFax service and used it once. After a while, I got an email saying I needed to put more money or the account would be closed. Pamfax stated that I would get a refund for unused balance. Once I requested it they said my account didn't exist. They claimed I cancelled the account before requesting the refund which I didn't and that is why they have no record of my account. I sent them all the emails they sent me along with all receipts I had. How can they have no records of my account? What happened with their accounting records? This has been going back and forth for weeks and it has been a terrible experience with no resolution.

  lots of bug fax number is not possible to use. they kept ignoring my complain ticket. worst customer service ever. they charge it and but i cannot use fax number.

  i bought standard service. they send invoice and charged my credit card. but i could not use this fax number. they kept ignoring my email. i had issued support tickets 3-4 times. they must have received my claim because they issued tickets. it's better to stay away from this company. i don't recommend this company at all. they have worst customer service.

  1. Faxes seem to take ages to be sent 2. Faxes seem to take ages to be received 3. Customer support seems to take ages to answer a ticket.

  Summary

  Stay away for now. Perhaps they'll improve in the future. At this point, (July 4 2011), it doesn't solve the problem of receiving and sending faxes. I got the Basic Plan. Lost my money.

  UNSAFE, unethical. Be very careful. I'm afraid the files I sent over, which may have contained personal info is now lost in cyberspace.
