Ottawa Recycles won an award at the Apps4Ottawa.ca open data contest in Ottawa!Ottawa Recycles is an application that helps you find the proper location in Ottawa to dispose of unwanted consumer products.There are almost 600 retailers and charitable organizations who make it possible to safely dispose, recycle or reuse unwanted consumer products. The City of Ottawa's Take it Back! program ensures that all sorts of household materials are reused, recycled or disposed of properly instead of going to the landfill. This application is not affiliated with the City of Ottawa but uses data that has been modified for use from its original source, ottawa.ca, the official website of the City of Ottawa.Each listing displays the name, address, phone number (with one touch dialling) and location through Google Maps.Program Conditions-Residents must telephone ahead to the retailer.-Products must be returned during business hours.-Take it Back! is for Residential customers only.-Quantities may be limited. -A small handling fee may apply.
