Developer’s Description

Visualise the counting process.
Number Lines help students to visualise the counting process. This game includes counting in steps of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10.On the first screen you can choose which number line you would like to try. Once chosen, a screen with the number line along the bottom will be shown with Grey Olltwit standing above. The setting is a park and a football is kicked. Unfortunately the football accidentally strikes Grey on the back of his head and sends his false teeth flying onto the number line. The teeth then bounce their way to the first number shown in the question at the top of the screen. Using the arrow buttons at the bottom of the screen, the student must then add or subtract the second number in the question. This action moves a green box along the line either forwards for addition or backwards for subtraction. Once the student is happy that the green square is over the correct answer, they must click the Check Answer button. If correct, 10 points are added to the score shown in the top right and the Next Question button will appear in place of the Check Answer button. If the answer is not correct then the student is given another go but no points are added once the correct answer is found. After two wrong answers a Show Me The Answer button will appear. Once all the questions are answered in a number line then the student will be able to choose to try another line or collect a certificate.
