It's 99% better than Notepad.
Cons
You can't scroll with the wheel-mouse. But I don't use the wheel-mouse anyways.

Handles Unix-formatted text files, which Windows Notepad does not
Cons
Cannot scroll with a wheel-mouse. Find-text command is always case-sensitive, whether the box is checked or not. Didn't use the program for long, so don't know what else is wrong with it.

Extended version of notepad with great enhancements.
Cons
I don't if others are experiencing the same but I have problem opening text files. When I double click a certain text files on my hard drive it will open notepad 2 but empty content, as if you just open the application not even the filename of the textfile is included. Weird because I opened a text file on a mounted drive like a file from an ISO file and it opened the file right.
