• The problems with Necklace

  Pros

  I'm really on the edge of this game. This here is the longest game by Heroes Games.

  Cons

  It's not mentioned in the help menu, but the horns you collect open up certain gates. First of all, how does Princess Ania lose 9 gems for her necklace? You collect a sword and a shield on the journey to find 9 gems. Why does the kid need a sword and shield for? There is no monster in the game or anything like that. There is no antagonist or anything like that in the game, so why is there malevolent architecture on the kids quest. Besides, why is some random kid doing a dangerous quest for a princess? Does he have parents, and if he does, does he have his parents' consent? The credits menu looks like someone made them in MS Paint using a sprinkle tool, while some of the graphics look like their made with Fireworks with a shape and gradient tool. The kid does sometimes deliver the items to some other characters. Like for example, why does he need to deliver a wand for a wizard? Does he have advice for the other gems. There are no dialogue cutscenes in the game either.

  Summary

  In conclusion. Necklace is not very good. There are some violation of common sense, and there is no antagonist in the game. The plot here is not very good. You'll be better off trying DROD if you want a fantasy puzzle game.

  Excellent freeware game for young minds, but parents will have to help to learn how to restart when the puzzle becomes impossible to solve. A load of fun!
