  :: easy to install :: easy-to-use interface :: pretty fast if you get it to work

  :: buggy - constantly conflicts with other running processes on computer asking you to restart your computer in the middle of conversion :: no response from customer support

  Summary

  I would not recommend this software to anyone as I have so far restarted my computer more than 20 times to help it continue converting my files. Even so, I still have more than 700 songs it cannot convert due to some process on my computer not allowing it to continue. It cannot define what process it is either.

  Pros

  Only one: Trial Version 3.0 installs in separate Program folder, so it can be deleted with Revo without losing your version 2.x

  Cons

  Scam on owners of MuvAudio2 who don't need x86 version but are told they do -- assuming all their customers have Windows 7. No true customer support on this or other issues.. No upgrades for Win XP (MuvAudio 2.x) since 2009.

  Summary

  They're betting you won't notice you don't need the 3.x versions in their attempt to get you to pay for it more than once, even if you're still using XP. Far better FREE conversion programs out there.

  I bought this software and even purchased an upgrade. When I tried to migrate it to a new computer my software key no longer worked. Even the old key for my original version that the website sent me wouldn't work for the previous version available for download. I filled out the web support request, left emails, and voicemails for a month and absolutely NO RESPONSE. So, DO NOT BUY this software. I will switch to something else. If you use the high speed conversion mode you might find clicking sounds in your converted file. Menu options are in weird places. Software works OK. Support does not exist, even after you pay for the full version and any upgrades. "MuvOn" to a different software package. This company is a scam.

  Pros

  It can really convert DRM protected files to mp3 files. i like it so much so just bought full version. It tells you the time when the conversion will finish.The "Best" thing is you can use the activation code twice (2 computers).

  you just need to have a little patience.

• Great Functionality At A Great Price

  Pros

  It's very fast, and can convert up to 10 files at once (presumably depending on your system resources). The unique virtual cable technology (which basically means it "pretends" to be a cable connected to the output of your soundcard) assures not only good quality, but also that no other system sounds are recorded. <p>I have tried at least seven or eight programs that are supposed to record "what U hear" and all that, and quite frankly, none of them worked, not one. First time I tried MuvAudio, it just worked perfectly, so I bought it. Plus, it costs less than those other programs, or any program of this ilk for that matter. <p>You can fill a folder full of files you want to convert and then point the program to that folder and it will convert them all (might take a while if you have a LOT of files). If you're using DRM protected files, make sure your licenses are up to date or those files will not be converted. Oh, and by the way, the DRM is removed during the conversion process, so...

  Cons

  The program (understandably) uses quite a bit of computing resources, so that you need to not use your computer while it's working or many of your converted files will contain skips. Perhaps if you have a REALLY powerhouse machine this won't happen, but be aware. <p>Apparently, the publisher doesn't do a very good job of explaining the virtual cable. My suggestion is to just let the program install the virtual cable driver. It won't harm your system, and it just works...besides, the program won't do what it's designed to do without it.

  I have loads of purchased DRM protected CD's backedup on harddrive. This is the only way I have found to create a mixed CD for my car or home stero playback. Thanks

  Not being an audiophila, I'm having to learn to tweak settings. Some sound great, others not so good. Maybe try recording as .wav then convert to .mp3

  Pros

  I used the trial version initially to test it out and loved it so much that I had to buy it. Have not found anything else out there that comes close. This will play and convert many of your DRM protected files (that you paid for/own) to just about whatever format pleases you. The conversion is pretty good too. You can even have it convert your music selection automatically without you being present at the keyboard to select every single track you want it to convert. I just put all the files I want it to convert in one folder and have it output the files in another folder on dedicated mode.

  Cons

  Sometimes locks up and uses a lot of computer resources if you record at higher speeds. The VACs can be a bit troublesome, but the program's forums resolve many issues, such as making sure that your audio recording settings should have the Use Only Default Devices option in sound unchecked. This fixed my problem when I was hearing the sound of my multiple tracks being played on my speakers instead of being recorded separately.

  I downloaded the trial version and was excited that it actually DRM protected WMA file until I listened to it...

  Cons

  About every couple seconds a voice in the background says "trial" or something like that. If you really want this program, just buy it off the bat. Also agree that Virtual Cable link is a bit confusing.

  Pros

  Convert's everything digitally, so there is no loss whatsoever, and it does it fast, I like the ability to record audio from DVD's and such as well.

  Cons

  Install note about Virtual Audio Cable is kind of confusing.
