Another plea for AAC support
cheesy9999- Pros
- Cons
- Summary
- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I know it's been said a zillion times but pleeeeeaaaaasssseeee add AAC support. It's such a pain in the ass having a mix of AAC and MP3 files because MP3Rage only works on the MP3 files. It can't be THAT hard to add it, can it?
Please...
TrebleHorn- Pros
- Cons
- Summary
- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
The name of this application is "MP3 Rage" - why do people complain about it not handling AAC, etc? What's next: that this doesn't handle GIFs or JPEGs? In terms of it's ability to handle what it's title says it does, it is without comparison the best application.
Just need to

And no, just because you are not a developer who knows jack about GUI doesn't grant you the right to bash an application because it does not complies with your half assed idea of what a GUI should be. This app rocks.
unicode support

I don't know about others..

this is excellent software
bmz- Pros

- Summary
- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
how can you give it one star just because of the appearance?!! This product runs circles around all the other MP3 tag editors. It is the tag editor of choice for anyone with a large MP3 collection, it is not perfect, but no other app comes close at this point.
What a mess
AAPL Shareholder- Pros
- Cons
- Summary
- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This app has some cool features; however, this developer really should start working with someone who knows information architecture and UI design (ie someone who went to school for this stuff). With some work this product could be significantly more usable, as well as attractive. I don't think we'd see as many bad reviews for MP3 Rage if proper GUI design was factored into this app's development. (horribly shameless plug: ghostalmedia.com)
CDDB Tagger doesn't handle long filenames?

- Summary
- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I can't get the CDDB Tagger to successfully use long file names. That's kind of a pain. Also, an Unexpected Quit when quitting.
Agreed on the AAC
Fabulous Thunderkopf- Pros
- Cons
- Summary
- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I hope AAC will be supported in the next version. I love the batch editing offered by the app, it does most of what I want it to do, and probably a lot that i don't even know it does. I do think it's a bit cluttered, I always have to look for the functions, even if I use them often, so a redesign of sorts should be (imho) in the cards. Otherwise, I quite love the app.
slowly but surely

- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
although a bit clunky, this is still the best mp3 tag editting tool out for the mac. each update adds a couple new features, which are usually worth looking forward to. I only wish development were a bit faster. No AAC support yet is a bit disappointing, considering the MP3 CMM (another product, forget the title) had that out in days after iTunes 4. And thie CMM for MP3 Rage needs work. I can't yet get the new "folder routing" feature to work at all. Still a product well worth buying if you work with mp3s.
