Organize and access all your MP3 files with this Windows Explorer-like utility. Automatically display all your files sorted by artist, genre, and album. Use the drag and drop feature to create play list. Launch MP3s from its interface. Program is compatible with all MP3 players : Winamp, Sonique. It provides all MP3 management features: ID3 tagging v1 and v2 (providing picture and lyrics display), exclusive feature "Intellitag", multi-criteria search, file renaming with customizable format and capitalization control, and fully customizable export formats such as CSV and HTML.

Pros
MP3 Explorer is 100% Free (GNU Public Licence). It is stable and fast also with lots of files, tested with 3.2GHz system. Provides a clean, easy to use interface (explorer style tree view of the tags, drag and drop). I use it to find and correct missing or incoherent album, artist or genre tags. It lets you use Winamp as player (other players not tested) and has a good search function (for example bpm). In total, this tool will help you to get organized!
Cons
Two minor issues: Filename-to-tag import cannot be configured with costum seperators. This makes that sometimes the import gives wrong results. I use another tool to tag these files. The programm tried to connect to internet once after install, I guess because of the buy music on the net feature, which I do not use. Since then OK, no autoupdate and other annoyances.

Just does exactly what you need it to do. An easy to use Native Windows interface, no rubbish non-standard GUI or bloat-ware here! Pierre, your software rocks!

Pros
It manages my very large mp3 collection for almost 4 years. <p>I like very much <p>- all the powerful tagging and renaming features (drag n drop, Intellitag) <p>- ID3v2 support <p>- and it's free open source software. That's really cool.
