Used Moving Clouds Screensaver for Windows?
Editors’ Review
There's only so much you can expect from a screensaver. After all, its only real purpose is to be decorative; we're long past the days when screensavers were necessary to prevent phosphor burn-in on monitors. Moving Clouds Screensaver is one of the many thousands of screensavers available online, and we can't say it particularly impressed us with its graphics or other features. But the program is functional, and we suppose you could do worse.
We figured from the screensaver's name that it would feature a blue sky with some clouds placidly floating by. Maybe they could even form into wacky animal shapes as they drifted across the screen; that would be fun! Unfortunately, Moving Clouds Screensaver is not nearly so entertaining. The program actually features still images of clouds, with a square inset image floating around on top of a background image. If you ask us, that's a pretty loose interpretation of the term "moving clouds." The photos the program uses are OK, but they're not especially beautiful. The program also comes with music, a somewhat agitating organ number that did not seem to fit with the ostensibly relaxing cloud theme. Fortunately, the music can be muted; this is the screensaver's only adjustable setting. Overall, Moving Cloud Screensaver is definitely not the worst screensaver we've seen, but we can't say we're particularly eager to keep it around, either.
Moving Clouds Screensaver is free. It installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend this screensaver with reservations.
