  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Most of the comments here ignore the fact that this app will play non-DV movies through firewire, which BTVPro and SimpleVideoOut will not. I find this incredibly useful, particularly when I want to watch a movie that has been compressed for web output on my DV camera. Unfortunately the app will only play some of the streams properly and when it does not it produces the cryptic 'Device Not Connected' error. It also plays the audio out of both the mac and DV stream, but the movie window on the desktop goes black while mirroring. An odd inconsistency, I think. This app is a great step forward as I have not been able to find anything else that will play non-DV streams through my camera with real-time conversion. Maybe the next revision or so will make this app quite cool.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Tried to stream a simple mpeg, said it couldn't recognize the format. Funny, quicktime can read it with no problems. No funny codecs or anything.
