• VIRUS IN UNINSTALLER

  seemed to maybe work.. not tried it properly coz the AVG popped up a warning.

  nasty evil virus thingy in the uninstaller.

  Summary

  Installed easy enough but got a virus warning as I started to use it. Checking the install manually there seems to be a trojan in the uninstaller. Not sure what other things its done... Not sure if I would trust a company that decides to kill your machine if you remove their software.

  I tried every supported movie type (there weren't that many) with every setting and was unable to split a movie correctly. It seemed to ignore my settings and split it however it felt like it, and the resulting segments were always corrupt. The interface is very amateurish. I emailed support, they ignored my email. This was an absolute, complete waste of money. I since purchased Ultra Video Splitter for approximately the same amount of money and it worked perfectly the first time, supports more movie types, and has a decent interface.

  this splitter gonna be my movie splitter for life forever as in.Easy to use , very super duper fast and very effective 101% ^_^ ,nothing changed with vid quality if you use it ..Yeah!Splitter for lifetime.

  Easy, simple to use and split the videos without problems. Great for people with basic computer experience. Other programs crashed in my pc, this one was the only one that worked as it should be

  Downloaded and installed this program. I found the file I wanted to split and loaded it then selected custom split. Even though it could play the file when ever I tried selecting a start or end point it siad file not found.

  Pros

  Simple step by step process, one question at a time on the page. Persons with very little computer experience will be able to figure out how to split a video file very quickly, unlike some programs that might tend to confuse someone by having multiple options. I also like how fast it converts.

  What I wasn't too pleased about this program, is that the verbose (or wording) wasn't exactly straight. I had to read the questions twice in order to be sure of what was being asked. I also am not too impressed with the file types that it supports. I was hoping that it would have more file types like 3GPP (for mobile phones) since that is a likely candidate for its use. It only supports: avi, mpg (mpeg), divx, mp3, m1v, m2v. Obviously mp3 is an audio file format. And I really have no idea what m1v and m2v is for. Basically, you are stuck with avi and mpeg formats. Also the UI (user interface) again is so simple, that it lacks a little in the way that the 'browse' button could actually have a word on it, perhaps, 'browse'! There is no 'Help' or 'About', or any type of file menus or anything of that matter to even find out any type of information about the program. It lists free to try, $19.00 to buy here on download.com. I just installed it for the first time, but I wouldn't even know who to pay or anything of the sort. Although I very much like its fast and basic ease of use, I would feel good about paying $9, not $19.

  Basically, it either splits it in some predefined ways: Custom, equal parts, equal length...yeah. Its fine. It split this 900mb video in like 10 min, right in half.

  I haven't un-installed, so nothing.
