Editors’ Review
Motor Tutkunları, developed by Akrein Software, is a mobile application that brings together social networking and travel navigation for motorcycle enthusiasts on Android and compatible mobile devices. The app combines real-time messaging, map-based live location sharing, a trip planner, and a service and support directory to assist riders on group journeys. It targets club members and solo riders who need organized communication, event updates, and practical roadside assistance during rides and localized community news and announcements within clubs.
Designed to coordinate rides and keep groups connected
The app provides instant chat and messaging for real-time communication among club members, plus announcements and push notifications for urgent alerts. This setup supports pre-ride organization, in-ride instructions, and post-ride updates that a local motorcycle club typically needs. The in-app News and Events feed aggregates meetup information and industry items, which helps groups schedule rides and keep members informed without switching to third-party platforms.
Offers map-based tracking suitable for group safety
Live location sharing appears on an interactive map to assist safer formation riding and mutual awareness among participants. The included trip planner lets organizers create, save, and share motorcycle-specific paths, and map views update position markers during active sessions. These elements function on the mobile device, relying on the device's location services and network connectivity; riders should expect accuracy and refresh timing to follow their device GPS and signal conditions.
Designed for Turkish riders with built-in support resources
The app bundles a Service and Support Guide to help locate repair shops and emergency assistance, which targets on-road reliability for riders in need of local help. It is distributed for Android and listed as compatible with iOS devices, so availability spans common mobile platforms. The developer is a Turkish company based in İzmir, which aligns the app's community orientation with local meetups and the national motorcycle scene.
Pros
- Instant chat and announcements for real-time club coordination
- Live location sharing on interactive map for safer group riding
- Service and Support Guide locates nearby repair and emergency assistance
Cons
- Availability geared to Turkish motorcycle scene limits international content
- Dependence on device GPS and network affects location accuracy and refresh rates
Bottom Line
Practical community tool with clear responsibilities for users
The app is a practical option for club organizers and active riders who need a community-centred mobile solution and local orientation; users are responsible for ensuring their use complies with platform terms and applicable regulations. Test the app on shorter rides before relying on it for larger events. Given the developer's local focus and the app's niche audience, it fits groups seeking a Turkey-focused riding hub.
