This plugin is supposed to work with Winamp? I've installed both, plugged in my iphone, and it cannot find my iphone even when I click "discover".

it made an easy transfer of mp3's to ipod, with just a click of two then its <p>already tranferring files to the iPod. its better than itunes.. that's my opinion. <p> you dont need a software to copy the contents of your iPod back to your PC. trust me it the best plug in..

Alright, this plugin is very sweet and I don't mean how it looks, it lets you download to your HD tracks on your Ipod, and then transcode if you need to for files such as mp4, m4a, m4b and maybe more later with this self updating program with NO LIMITATIONS. Has an option to wipe your ipod's memory option. No no, this has it all, sync pictures, playlists, and transcode using Lame (mp3s) or Hymn (for mp4 types). <p>Best program hands down... O, did I mention everyone should get it. Pray you can find another one this cool...

The soft is everything that promises. A great help to take out music from an ipod, and a great tool for winamp lovers.
Cons
It would be great if I could 'drag-and-drop' the music out to a folder, instead of setting a default folder. But this is just a little improvement, the plug-in is great.

I have a 5G iPod. This plug-in totally screwed up everything on my iPod. However, through some long hard work (copying everything out of my iPod since I didnt have it on my hard drive and restoring - not enough space; ended up using my work laptop) and by the Grace of God, I figured out how to fix the problem the short way. What happens is that a file called iTunesDB (in the hidden folder labeled iTunes found in the iPod_Control hidden folder) gets changed. The iPod reads the new one. All you need to do is delete the new one and relabel the old one (literally called iTunesDB.old) to just iTunesDB. Once that happens, everything goes back to normal. Good night, and Good Luck. <p> <p>BTW, shame on me for ever turning from iTunes. On know there are a lot of haters out there, but i have used Real and now Winamp and had problems both times. Please take me back iTunes.

Its free! <p>It gives WinAMP the ability to manage your iPod. <p>Supports copying music to and from the iPod from WITHIN WinAMP. <p>Reads all pertinent data off iPod exactly like iTunes...except for file ratings you have given music while using your iPod.

It requires WinAMP. Not terrible for the most of us, but if you don't like WinAMP, then you are pretty much out of luck. <p>Uses WinAMP interface. Appears nothing like iTunes. I suggest you goto WinAMP's website and get an iTunes skin that supports skinning the Media Library in WinAMP. <p>Actually forces people to use the Media Library window in WinAMP...something I would never otherwise use.

ml_ipod is an unstable piece of junk. It crashed while copying files and has hence deleted or corrupted my ipod's database. I must now recover every song from the ipod and manually copy these files to my computer, arduously putting them back in their directory structure. Then I will have to fix the iPod's database format and recopy the songs. Don't use this program unless you're aware of the risk.

Flawlessly integrates with Winamp's media library to provide all the functionality of iTunes but with the speed, reliability and coolness of Winamp. Works with the iPod Shuffle too! A perfect add-on to (still) the best audio player available. (This program is so good that I joined download.com just so I could write a review about it!)
