Clunky character controls make this misty world a nightmare to navigate, but we enjoyed the game's challenges. You are a sorcerer-monk (in 1996, no less) named Isador who's hot on the tail of the antichrist, who, of course, is up to no good. You fight, solve puzzles, slog through a foggy Europe, and chat with city dwellers along the way. During testing we liked the game a lot, but we had a hard time moving our poor monk around, as keyboard controls aren't intuitive. It's a dreary world, with plenty of drippy clouds and shrouded buildings, and the game's soundtrack adds to the overall gloom. Overall, this is an intriguing game with a good plot that will keep your fog lights on.
I have win xp home edition. The game installed with no problems but the game wouldn't play. I could get as far as the loading screen. But I'm sure if you can get it to work its a good game.

Guide a sorcerer-monk on a holy journey through a chaotic world. The year is 1996, and the world is different: there was no industrial revolution; there are no cars or mobile phones; there is only the feeble existence of people who have to fight a land that decided it would fight back. The world is in turmoil, and large parts of Europe are covered in a thick fog with magical properties that forbid passage throughout the continent. Join the sorceror-monk Isador as he explores this chaotic world, searching for a man deemed by the Church to be a murderer and an antichrist. The once-great cities--Rome, Avignon, Paris--will pass you by on your quest to stop this man.
