This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Nice to see this app is still evolving. The ability to set new default apps without running the original apps (on Panther; what logic is that, Apple?) is much appreciated. A few suggestions: * A way to modify Safari's list of "safe" files for opening after download(!) Where *is* that list anyway? * Export File Mappings to human-readable-format file? * Resizable window with sticky column settings. * An icon? :-)

 Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Good for mapping things as simple as an FTP client to settings for download helpers. Has no OSX counterpart I'm aware of unless you want to go in and edit the .plist with BBEdit or something (not recommended as it's easy to corrupt the internetconfig.plist file). iCab folks have done a nice job with this. Could use a little GUI work but 5 stars in my book.

 Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I've been trying to get this to work using OS X 10.2.6. There are no instructions on it's use in the readme (perhaps it saves the settings automatically? doesn't say). Attempting to modify the mime settings for, say, a Quicken .qfx file changes nothing -- repeated selecting of the Quicken application does not cause Safari to tell my Mac to open the file with Quicken. Changes in settings do not stick. Its a beta to be certain. Might be OK if it worked (and it clearly does for some people) -- but Apple should have this built into the OS.
