The film fest will be screening a diverse cross-section of curated films. Special guests and fanfare parties will also be hosted throughout the event. ** FORUM **Returning to the fest for the fourth year, The Forum features compelling speakers and technological and cultural panel dialogues. Noted journalist, bestselling author and speaker Malcolm Gladwell will be kicking off this years forum on Wednesday, April 15th at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts Helzberg Hall. This years forum is April 16th and 17th at The Kansas City Stars Press Pavilion. ** MUSIC **This years Music Fest will take place April 22-25 in Kansas Citys Westport entertainment district. The four-day fest will feature more than 120 local, national, international and emerging artists including Iron & Wine, Atmosphere, OK Go, Lord Huron and many more. Newly added to the fest this year are Wednesday and Thursday night shows at Uptown Theater. Westport venues for the weekend include: recordBar, The Riot Room, Ernie Biggs, Westport Saloon and Mills Record Company, as well as an expanded outdoor stage.
