This update contains several improvements to enhance security and stability, including fixes for vulnerabilities that an attacker can use to overwrite the contents of your computer's memory with malicious code. In addition, this update includes all of the improvements released in all previous Office v. X updates.

I will need to reinsttall from scratch I guess. The program loads opens a blank file tries to load the libraries, then quits unexpecetedly (although 'unexpectedly' is a bit of a misnomer at this point) It was working fine before(well, it only quit once in awhile)....

Looks to be a font issue? But I am not a geek.
I am traveling on the road and now I can not complete my work. My clients are upset and I cant do anything about it.
It may install fine, but what you are left with is garbage.
Where is the new Apple spreadsheet program to go with Pages. Please Steve!
Update at your own risk. But dont do it on the road.
No apparent problems

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />MS Office X looks and feels like a Mac product; I like it and use Word, Excel and PowerPoint all the time to good effect.
My caveat is the Entourage storage system, which uses one big database file, which has grown at times to be 75 MB on my machine. While this allows Entourage to powerfully coordinate times, dates, contact info and email, it places a huge burden on incremental backup strategies, such as Retrospect, since the addition of one teeny email will change the database, causing the entire database to be backed up every time. Not efficient. Mail and Mailsmith, OTOH, maintain discrete messages. (Eudora, as of Qualcomm's 10/11 announcement, appears to be toast, which is too bad, because its search function is nearly instantaneous.)
Heresy but...

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />The current Office Suite for Mac really is... sweet. I like Word and use it daily - maybe too many functions - but how can you complain about getting too much function from a software package? I can now convert back and forth with PP and Keynote (with minimumal damage/reformating), I wish and look forward to an Apple Excel app - I don't much like the mechanical feel of Excel and I haven't used Entourage since the introduction of Mail. All in all a solid production in my opinion and the old bash anything MS makes is just too passe and mundane... well with the exception maybe of that would-be iPod player they are working on - Can they just let anyone else have something of their own?
Good programs...

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Microsoft hating is so old. I've been using a Mac for 12 years and had my share of M$ hating rants but the bottom line is that after 12 years experience Office is absolutely the best stuff out there. I truely enjoy using Excel and Word. Entourage has some work to do in the UI department and I rarely need Powerpoint but these are top notch quality programs with a depth of features and polish unmatched by any developer out there.
Office 2004 just works and has everything I need to do my job well.
Absolutely fabulous

The updater worked. I am running Oriface X on an intel Mac, since I refuse to buy anything newer until these bozos release software that is non-viral. I am forced to use Word and occasionally excel, and though it grieves me to admit it, they are reasonable pieces of software.
