Used MHX Antivirus and Antispyware Free Edition for Windows?
Editors’ Review
This application lets you view suspicious or bad processes running on your system, but it doesn't have a feature to terminate the process.
MHX First Defense has a dull, yet straightforward, interface that seems crowded. The array of function buttons is displayed in a small, nonresizable window, but each button opens a separate window to display its functions. In our tests, the program effectively and quickly scanned our system for bad processes based on its updatable Definition Library. Suspicious processes were listed in a spreadsheet-like list, so we could easily view the problem name, filename, and description. MHX First Defense also includes one-click buttons that display accurate information regarding your IP address, memory info, and system uptime and information.
Unfortunately, unlike similar apps, this program lacks a feature to instantly kill or stop a suspicious process, so you'll have to do it manually or use a separate application. You can't end processes using MHX First Defense, but it can quickly identify the potentially bad ones, and anyone can use it.
