It was developed by specialist and consultant plastic surgeons and experts in burns management.Mersey Burns is regulated in the UK by the MHRA and is CE marked for conformance as a medical device.In 2011 Mersey Burns won an Excellence in Innovation prize at the NHS North West Health Innovation Awards.
