Mental Health Scales comprises a comprehensive set of mental health rating scales and the Clock Test for cognitive screening for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. The app emphasizes privacy and security. Test results remain on the device until removed or transferred by the owner. No log in to a central server is required.Developed in close collaboration with Dr. Carol Peyser, a Board-certified adult psychiatrist with extensive research and clinical experience, Mental Health Scales meets real life needs of the health care professional on the go.Its simple, intuitive interface (and security features) means that a client can be handed the iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch to self-rate on a scale while being observed, or while the practitioner performs other tasks. Scores are automatically tallied and past results are readily available to the clinician for comparison.Test histories for any number of clients can be stored securely on the mobile device and emailed back to the office computer, making the application ideal for working at more than one location or facility. Results can also be printed on an AirPrint compatible printer on the same Local Area Network as the device. Data in the app is secured by Apple's hardware-level encryption on passcode-protected devices. An in-app password, which is backed up by a security question selected from a choice of three provides two additional security modes. In addition on Touch ID equipped devices (iPhone 5S and later, iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3), Touch ID may be used in place of the password for app access control. The app has two security modes. Secure Mode prevents unauthorized launch of the app. Client Mode allows the test subject to use the device for a self reporting scale without being able to access the data of others.Mental Health Scales includes an extensive in-app Help screen that is navigable by tapping on HTML links.
