Me Speaking has many useful functions including 13 schedule alarms that will verbally remind you of events and the ability to read text from a COM port.

Great reading & reminder app that's very easy to use

Pros
Great, lightweight & non intrusive!! This enables your PC to read large amounts of text to you!! this has been a god send for me as I am studying. I usually forget when an Ebay item will end; not any more as you can set memo reminders to tell you!!
Cons
None really, does what it says works a treat! Possibly password protect the config of the app so kids can't mess about with the settings?
Summary
This app is great, I really like the way it has additional voices included with the install package; no need to go hunting for additional voices. You can change the voices to suit your listening needs. I guess this would also be great for someone that is not so competent at reading large amounts of text. You can configure the software to say something else instead of words that you can define; this is great if your child was using this app as you could replace aggresive or sware words. Thumbs up from me...
