Suddenly a quick, amusing stunt is an hours-long journey through Help files, Layers, and so on. For those who just want to fool around with a few snapshots, something smaller, lighter, and easier to use is called for. Magix Entertainment's FunPix Maker 1.0 is just the tool. It's free, for starters. It's easy to use. And it's fun. You can use it to elongate noses, exaggerate feet, add things to images, and generally play around with pictures much like with a big image editor. Except with FunPix Maker, you can finish your image, email it off, and have your joke on your pals before it turns into a major project that swallows up more time than it's worth.

The program opens with a stock image, a small dog. You can grab his nose with the cursor and start changing his expression right away, a quick lesson in using FunPix Maker that's more effective and a lot more fun than a Help file.

Many programs cost more but do less and not as well. FunPix Maker is free and easy. I've read some complain it won't work with Windows 7 or 64 bit or for some other reason. First save the file to your download folder, run the install then when your told to install another version of windows go back to your download folder and look in there for the extracted file, RIGHT CLICK the extracted file and choose to run the program in compatibility mode, you'll have to slide that window over so you can see the install button of the Magix program. ( don't forget to custom install so you can opt. out of the tool bar )works really great, hope this helps those having trouble. D_Man Tripp

This is better than any commercial software similar to it that I've found. It has a great set of tools, a 6000X6000 canvas and FREE galleries and web hosting, just for downloading it. It does some impressive tricks.

I use this to produce commercial prints and posters. It has tricks which are not documented, that I haven't seen anyone else use and that I'm going to make everyone figure out for themselves because it's sort of my trade secret. I would assume that the most likely persons to discover these capabilities will be children since they are not trained to use one tool one way, as adults are. Use your imagination kids. FunPix has some mighty interesting things awaiting you if you don't listen to your parents. Some of its unexpected effects are spectacular and complex. A warning: it's not going to do what you want it to do when you discover these effects, so go with what it gives you. Wonderful piece of image creation software. What are you waiting for, an engraved invitation? GRAB THIS SOFTWARE. NOW!

This software is easy to understand and use for a bigginer. I don't see the use for some of the options but may find out in time, with practice. My friends on Facebook left several comments when I would post a picture of one of them after "transforming" it with this program. Everyone loved it, thought I had done something really complex that they wouldn't be able to do. It puts a smile on faces that seemed doomed to gloom.
