Optimised for Apple Watch and iPhone, LongShot lets you quickly, easily and accurately calculate settings for low light or long exposure photography, when the limits of your cameras exposure meter are exceeded. LongShot works effortlessly with Neutral Density (ND) filters.Features: Runs on Apple Watch, iPhone and iPad Apple Watch allows for hands free use - no more fumbling around with your iPhone on a cold, windy clifftop, hoping you wont drop it! Uses 1/3 stop EV values, giving you more granular control Calculates shutter speed, aperture or ISO whichever you choose Built-in timer is set to your chosen shutter speed, so you are ready to shoot immediately LongShot on Apple Watch works seamlessly with its iPhone counterpartLast used settings are remembered between devicesStart a timer on iPhone and pick it up on Apple Watch or vice versaAlerts intelligently delivered to whichever device you are using Works the same regardless of the number or type of filters being usedNo need to remember ND ratings of your filters No need to calculate exposure stop equivalents for each filterNo need to add values together if filter stackingUsing ND filters can be confusing. Different filter manufacturers use different methods to denote the density level of their filters (e.g. Hoya, B+W and Cokin use code ND2 or ND2x, etc whereas Lee and Tiffen use code 0.3ND, etc).On top of this, even filters by two manufacturers using the same code may not correspond to the same exposure reduction! This can be extremely (and needlessly) confusing.LongShot lets you avoid all this hassle. Using LongShot is simple: Set your camera up for the shot. Frame the shot, focus it, stack on as many or few filters as you wish. Use high ISO/wide open aperture to take some quick test shots and check them on the LCD/review screen. Once you find your desired exposure, enter these settings in LongShot under Baseline. Now set the ISO/Aperture settings you wish to use in the Target area. LongShot will calculate the Shutter Speed you require to keep the exposure the same as your Baseline - and it sets this straight into its timer so you are ready to shoot.(You can also use LongShot to target a specific Shutter Speed or ISO - LongShot will calculate the rest!)For more information, and to see examples of my own photography using LongShot, visit: samuelmcdowell.com
