• Works! Need readme file

  Very simple Very barebones system that is hard to spot because it doesn't have complicated features that malfunction Without proper read-me file, or understanding, could be confusing (I listed this as a con as well), to someone who doesn't know much about computers or how to use terminal, this might be a con, but it makes it more elusive and that's the point for most keloggers.

  Great open source program. Very simple and basic, and if you simply want to keep an eye on your system and know if people are using it, it's a great tool

  logs all key strokes without being detected simple to install and use runs automatically logs passwords

  Cons

  logs all keystrokes including "delete" so it might get confusing when reading logs no manual so its slightly confusing at first when you open the logs to read it will create a .txt file on the desktop which may giveaway personal info if you forget to delete it biggest problem is no timestamp and doesnt tell which application is being used during logging so some guess work is required

  Summary

  great for a free product, it works as advertised. just make sure you delete the .txt file created after reading the log so that no one stumbles upon you keylogs and user names/passwords

• Just didn't work

  It's free, easy to install and... sorry, could not use it so can't really find another pro.

  Incomplete documentation, unable to run it.

  Summary

  It was very easy to install but the password on the documentation wasn't actually the password so I couldn't run it. The poor content on the documentation recommends you to change the password, they just don't say how. No troubleshooting and there is not an URL to see more information or updated documentation. Of course, it is free so why am I asking for support or documentation right? "You get what you pay for", you might say. Well, I am just saving you the hassle of downloading it.

  Logkext is very easy to install as well uninstall.

  There was a little problem with changing the default password.

  Logkext client is great tool to have for mac. The user interface is a breeze and i would definitely recommend it to anyone whom is looking for a key logger for mac.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Yes it's a bit of a fiddle fooling around with Terminal, but I found this product to work exactly as I expected. Brilliant that it now works on Tiger as well as it did on Panther. The only thing I can't work out is how to periodically clear the existing file of recorded keystrokes.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Well, I tried my panther machine, then moved to my Tiger machine. Both had the same result. Nothing. On both I turned off encryption first, then tried to test it. I can nothing with print, and nothing with open. The software states to "delete your logfile..." when changing the status of the encryption, but I can't find any logfile, other than the one opened when I chose "open". Does this actually work?

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />The documentation tells you to change the default password to a new one for security purposes. However, doing this kills the software's ability to decrypt the file with the stored keystrokes. Then the author tells you to delete the file with the stored keystrokes - but guess what - the software doesn't create a new file to replace it. Instead, it just keeps telling you that the log file is missing. Nice going..... Don't waste your time.

Very simple to use and the average user on the machine would not be able to see that it is running or how to run the client. That is a desirable feature, don't want someone to just stumble upon the fact that keylogging is enabled. Great App!!! Good job.
