Living Pokedex Tracker, developed by Mathieu Robichaud, is an Android utility built for completing a Living Pokédex. It organizes physical-collection progress into a device-centric checklist that helps collectors maintain accurate ownership records and capture notes. The app supports localization, rapid lookup, and handles special forms and rare attributes, packaged in an APK under 2MB. It targets completion-oriented trainers and collectors who want a lightweight, organized way to record capture details.

Top Recommended Alternative

The tool treats Living Dex work as a sequence of manageable tasks, making long-term completion feel like a set of short sessions. By presenting progress in a checklist style and letting users annotate individual entries with capture details, it helps weekend planners and methodical collectors sustain momentum across multiple play sessions without juggling paper notes.

Designed to fit a collector's daily completion workflow

Small footprint and Android-native behavior suit pocket devices

The app installs as an APK under 2MB and runs on Android devices starting at version 4.1, with some builds optimized for Android 9.0 and above. That minimal installer and modest resource demand make it practical on older phones, so collectors can carry their tracker in the same device they use for play and trades.

Localization and quick access support international collecting habits

Localization into five languages, including Japanese, and a fast lookup by name or National Dex number help when trading across regions or consulting multilingual lists. The interface emphasizes capture attributes and form notes, which helps collectors who document presentation choices or track regional variants without resorting to separate spreadsheets.

Focus on logistics differentiates it, but profile flexibility is limited

The app concentrates on ownership record-keeping rather than acting as a broad species reference, a distinction that appeals to Living Dex enthusiasts. Community feedback reports positive reception for its simplicity and effectiveness, while several users request multi-profile support to manage different game saves; that gap can complicate workflows for collectors who juggle multiple accounts.

  • Pros

    • Regional segmentation helps break completion into manageable sessions
    • Tracks capture attributes such as Shiny, Lucky, and Pokéball choices
    • Interface localized in five languages, including Japanese
    • APK under 2MB, runs on Android 4.1 and newer devices
  • Cons

    • No built-in multi-profile support for separate game saves
    • Available only on Android devices, not cross-platform
    • Visual or optimization differences noted across older Android versions

Bottom Line

To sum up, a focused organizational option best for single-save collectors

To sum up, Living Pokedex Tracker is a focused organizational option for collectors who want a compact, device-centered record of their physical holdings and capture details. It suits solo collectors and those who prefer a lightweight mobile routine; it is less suitable for people who must maintain separate profiles for multiple game saves, because multi-profile handling is not currently provided.
