If you exceed the speed limit, you are presented with audible beeps (or spoken speed notifications). Police traps, cop cars and cameras are everywhere these days - LiveSpeed helps in avoiding expensive speeding tickets and traffic violations. The app is designed to run in the background (speech and audible alerts) so that you can use other navigation or music apps in the foreground. It also pauses automatically when it detects you are stationary to conserve battery. Radar detectors don't work most of the time and are illegal in many areas and apps like Waze are mostly ineffective in areas with less than heavy traffic.
