This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Did they even test this? Several pages don't show up in the Setup menu. Nearly all of the dropdown menus are screwed up. I have seen these same errors on FireFox for the Mac and PC. This is poor coding. This is NOT a Safari problem. I work for a company that has had similar problems with its web interfaces. The developers have always tried to blame Safari. In the end, the programers have found that the error was caused by poor programming on their part. Notice that not all dropdowns and navigation menus are broken. The software functions OK, but the UI is really screwed up. I installed this version because I was hoping it would clear up the UI problems from the last version. Instead it got worse.

Extended the range and delt with some interferance issues I had...but after a day or two the signal drops. I have to go to the router, unplug it, and plug it back in. This brings back up the signal, and I am wireless again. It is a bit random, but needs to be done about every two days.
don't use if you have wireless expander

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />like jpompili_1 said, this firmware is NOT compatible with the wireless-g range expander. you'll end up like me, spending the last hour on tech support with linksys resetting modems and routers and expanders and reverting firmware back to 2.02.7 until everything is right back where i started. the same holds true for the sveasoft firmware mentioned below. it's not the firmware's fault, so much as it's the expander's very limited firmware, and linksys has not updated it yet. trust me, take a pass on this firmware unless you MUST have the fixes and can live without any expanders in your network.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I just loaded this update, and my speed test to SpeakEasy (Los Angeles) shows the fastest DL speeds yet. Could be coincidence. I'm using a VoIP adapter also, and that still seems healthy. This is THE router to get for anyone considering multiple VoIP adapters, since it offers QOS features.

I suspect this had to do with the new firewall but even after turning off the firewall I was unable to connect to quicken or its servers. Anyway as linksys always says ....dont upgrade unless you have a problem...Im back at 2.0.2.7 and smooth sailing. I kinda wish cisco didnt buy linksys. lek

Flashed back to 2.02.7 and signal came back right away. Can't beleive Linksys would release this firmware upgrade without testing it first!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />My signal has become unusable since I upgraded. I have been dealing with linksys for over a week about the bad signal level. Linksys tech support stills says that they have no knowledge of a problem. (maybe they should read the comments here.) On my first call they said they could not help me until I had a windows machine (Itold them I have both a Graphite G4 and a Powerbook G4 AL) even though all they wanted me to do was log onto the router via a browser. On my second call I finally got them to send me the previous version of the firmware (again I told them I use a Mac). They sent me a windows exe file. I am now waiting for them to send me another file as you cannot download the previous versions from their website.

The router still works, but in order to get at least a GOOD signal, I have to be sitting next to the router. Not my idea of a wireless network. I called Linksys and they walked me through the whole troubleshooting routine, which I was fine with, still knowing they couldn't fix it. But what I wanted to do was get my complaint to the tech team that makes these drivers, and the rep assured me that he would forward my case. Everyone please e-mail or call Linksys regarding this issue. Knowing I can downgrade to the older version, I am still strongly considering leaving my once loved Linksys company to go try out the Airport Extreme. Bad move Linksys. On a related note, I wonder if Linksys did this on purpose in order to boost the sales of their new replacement antenna's that are reported to boost the signal significantly.
