Used Lich Mat Trang: Lunar Calendar for Android?
Editors’ Review
Lich Mat Trang: Lunar Calendar, by CKC Entertainment JSC, places lunar dates into your morning routine for ritual planning. It displays combined solar-lunar monthly views, two-way date conversion, moon phases, Can Chi lookup, and suitability guidance with integrated weather, pagoda finder, and customizable reminders. Shows hourly and 10-day forecasts, air quality, bilingual UI, and adjustable text sizes for Vietnamese users and the diaspora who schedule by lunar dates.
Puts lunar guidance alongside everyday scheduling
On a breakfast table or planning session, the app lays out both calendars so users see where ceremonies fall in a given month. In the monthly view it presents solar and lunar dates together, offers two-way conversion between systems, visual moon phases, lookup for Can Chi terms, and a suitability tool that recommends auspicious days based on birth year. The layout emphasizes legibility for quick daily checks.
How it links maps, weather, and local search results
Weather and location are integrated: the dashboard shows hourly updates, air quality indices, sunrise and sunset times, and a ten-day outlook. The pagoda finder taps mapping services to display nearby temples, provide directions, and save favorite spots. Location permission is optional, and the app requires an internet connection when fetching live forecasts, map data, or accessing online shop content.
Accessible presentation and bilingual support for varied users
The interface adopts a clean, modern aesthetic that simplifies complex Can Chi and lunar information into readable tiles. Text sizes can be adjusted for easier reading, and bilingual support offers Vietnamese and English labels. Festival reminders and event notifications are customizable, and the pagoda search lets users store favorites for recurring visits. The design suits weekend planners, busy families, and anyone who prefers culturally specific guidance presented clearly.
Keeps personal data minimal while using some personal inputs
Privacy shows as an intentional design choice: the developer describes minimal data collection and no third-party data sharing. Certain calculations use user inputs, for example birth year for suitable-day recommendations, while optional location access enables localized services. The privacy posture centers on limiting shared data rather than broad external integrations, which may reassure users sensitive about personal or astrological information being distributed.
