Used Kvadrat for Android?
Editors’ Review
Kvadrat is the official Android app from Placewise (Placewise Group AS), designed as a loyalty companion for visitors of the Kvadrat shopping centre in Sandnes, Norway. It delivers real-time mall information, surfaces Plus member offers, and presents digital coupons so shoppers can access promotions and event notices on their phones. The app includes a searchable store directory, opening hours, and direct links to customer services for everyday trip planning. Frequent local shoppers and Plus members gain the most daily value from this mall-focused tool.
The app maps mall logistics into a single trip-planning tool
In routine use the app collects practical visit details into one place: a searchable store directory with individual opening hours, direct links to customer services, and news about centre activities. Users can glance at shop listings and plan stops around opening times. This keeps essential store information accessible on a phone, which suits someone arranging quick errands, a mall afternoon, or a scheduled meeting with friends.
Offers and membership features target repeat visitors
The app integrates with the Kvadrat Plus loyalty system so registered members see exclusive offers and digital coupons in an Offers area after they create a profile. Activation and redemption are handled inside the app, and the personalized profile stores membership preferences. This design benefits shoppers who return frequently, because the app surfaces mall‑wide promotions and member-only opportunities tied to the loyalty programme.
News and scheduling updates serve local event awareness
Notifications and a news feed deliver centre announcements, event notices, and holiday opening schedules to users’ devices, providing a direct channel for mall-wide flash sales and activities. The app supplies real-time updates on opening hours and special events, which helps users decide whether to visit that day. This focus on local timing makes it useful for planning weekend visits and attending centre-hosted events.
Data handling and developer context clarify who manages the service
The app uses a personalized user profile to manage membership and preferences, reflecting its role as a loyalty tool rather than a generic shopping browser. Placewise specialises in CRM and loyalty platforms for retail real estate, and the app exposes links to the official site and customer services for further support. These facts point to a platform designed by a company experienced in connecting physical centres with digital shoppers.
Pros
- Direct access to Kvadrat Plus offers and digital coupons
- Searchable store directory with individual opening hours
- Real-time news feed for centre events and holiday schedules
Cons
- Designed for Kvadrat only, limited usefulness at other centres
- In-store coupon redemption can require a stable internet connection
- Full benefits require creating and managing a member profile
Bottom Line
To sum up, a practical local companion with a specific audience
To sum up, the app is a practical option for frequent Kvadrat visitors who want consolidated local offers and event information delivered to their phone; less suitable for shoppers who visit multiple different centres because of its single‑centre focus. A notable consideration is that in-store redemption of digital offers can depend on a stable internet connection, so plan accordingly when you arrive.
