Klar for Mac

Klar is a free AI-powered spam filter designed specifically for Apple Mail on Mac. This application helps users identify unwanted emails, including phishing attempts and scams, that may bypass the default mail filter. Klar operates locally on the Mac, ensuring that email content remains private without the need for cloud processing. It offers an intuitive interface that flags suspected spam messages in red for the first 30 days, allowing users to manually review them before they are automatically moved to the junk folder thereafter.

The application is built with a focus on privacy, processing emails without requiring internet access or user accounts. It supports multiple languages and includes features such as a contacts whitelist and a dashboard to track detected spam. Users can also access an editable usage report, enhancing their control over the spam management process. However, it is important to note that Klar is exclusively compatible with Apple Mail, limiting its use for those who utilize other email applications.
