Kernel Outlook PST Viewer software allows you to open PST files even if you don't have MS Office Outlook installed on your system or have an older version of MS Outlook. This intelligently programmed software allows you to open PST files without using MS Office Outlook which means, you do not need MS Office Outlook installed on your system. You just download Kernel Outlook PST Viewer, install it on your system and launch it. As soon as you launch it, it'll ask you to browse the PST file you want to open. Browse the PST file, select it and click Ok. The software quickly scans for the asked PST file and displays its contents such as Inbox, Drafts, Outbox, Sent Items, etc. in the MS Office Outlook's hierarchical manner. The software supports both ANSI and Unicode formats of PST files which make it even more useful. The software also makes it possible to copy and print TXT and HTML e-mails successfully.

Kernel Outlook PST Viewer software allows you to see the content of PST files with minor corruptions. The software also enables viewing the PST files which got corrupted due to 2GB size issue. The user friendly software also allows you to view password protected PST files even if you are unaware of the password. The software has got a built-in search option as well which allows you to search for a specific PST file in case you don't remember its location. Pros
The install was quick and easy. There is no adware. It opened the PST and I found what I needed.
Cons
The free version only allows you to view things, so if you want to get something out, you can copy it one item at a time or you could buy it.

If you are unable to open any Outlook PST files within or without a MS outlook, you can try to use above software(Kernel for PST Viewer). It is really very advanced tool that easily fix your PST related issues.
Cons
Allows to access healthy or corrupt PST files without using MS Office Outlook. It helps in opening files that got corrupted due to 2GB size issue

It appeared almost virus. Tool not only couldn't view my pst files, moreover it removed them.

Pros
It's just a basic viewer that wasn't able to open my large PST file. Thanks to the warnings I got rid of all those additional installations that come with the program. Finally I downloaded a free Coolutils PST Viewer and it worked fine.
Cons
Many additional unwanted staff inside the program.

None, it never loaded, could not be used.
Cons
Link downloaded a program that needed to download another program. The program then failed to install the promised program; instead it used computer resources to install mallware and attempt to change web browser, search tool (bing!), and home page.
Summary
CNET is no longer my goto resource online for all things computers. Instead all I find are adds, poor articles, and attempts to steal personal information or hijack my computer.
Good basic PST viewer, but be CAREFUL on the install!!!

1. It does what it is supposed to. I have been able to review an old .pst file to find some contacts and get back in touch with them. 2. Good for viewing pst files when you do not own a personal copy of MS Outlook. 3. The GUI is user friendly and intuitive. 4. It is sortable (sort by name, date, subject) 5. The folder list in the left pane exactly mimics the view of my pst file in actual Outlook! 6. It's free!
Cons
1. It is not searchable, so it can take forever to find what you are looking for if you are looking for keywords and not something that can be easily found by the sort. 2. Potential for spam/spyware. Just because it comes from CNET, you still have to be careful when installing. See #3. 3. Be very careful when installing anything on your computer that you did not pay for. You do NOT have to click through and accept EVERYTHING in the install. This is the spyware/bloatware that people are most likely talking about in other reviews. ONLY ACCEPT THE PROGRAM AND NOT ALL THE EXTRAS!!!!

Although there is no search function, it is free and it works.
