Katrina Aftermath is a photo essay by Dutch documentary photographer Diederik Meijer that comprises probing portraits of residents of New Orleans who were made homeless by Hurricane Katrina. The portraits show both the dismay and uncertainty, and the resilience and tenacity of Katrinas victims. The hurricane hit the Louisiana and Mississippi shorelines on August 25, 2005, now five years ago. These photographs were exhibited in the Amsterdam Photo Museum in late 2006 and early 2007.
