  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Kairon is the current leader for best astrology program for the Mac, at least among the ones I know about. The old OS 9 version (pre-Classic) really set the standard for what astrology should look like on a Mac. The new Panther version (this one) has some minor interface issues -- unlike the older version, this one does not obviously center around the chart, so it's a bit of a long stretch to get that very first natal chart on the screen, the chart is smaller and the symbols are no longer labeled by position within houses. In fact, Kairon 3.02 is seriously awkward in a few areas (such as USING the geographic database), but, like Gerald S. Hawkings, the physical shortcomings are insignificant, compared to what this pup can DO. The author is just not as familiar with Panther development as he is with astrological math -- one feels sure those deficiencies will be eliminated one by one. They should be, because this program should be a joy to use, for those who find joy in contemplating the heavens.
