JPGDateChanger is simple tool that allows you to set the last modified date of JPG image to the date picture was taken. This date is extracted from the EXIF data of the image file which almost all digital cameras save with the file. This can be useful when resetting the date back to original after editing images with a graphical editor.

Pros
Does one function as is described by the developer. Drag'n Drop a file onto the application and it will update the Date Last Modified to the Date Picture Taken if it is a JPG file.
Cons
You can only Drag'n Drop files on the application. Would be nice to Drag'n Drop a folder and have it enumerate through the sub-folders.
Summary
Over the many rebuilds of my wife's computer, the Date Last Modified had grown increasingly out of sync with the Date Picture Taken. I used this tool to update all her pictures Date Last Modified which allows her to easily search through her pictures again. Great tool. Thank you!!!

Minor con: Overwrites the"file modified" date with no backup. The original date is lost, so be sure you don't need it for anything!
Summary
This program easily sets the "date modified" value (a file system attribute shown by default by Windows Explorer as the file date) to the "date picture taken" from the EXIF data in a JPG file (metadata stored in the file itself), usually recorded by a digital camera. Easily handles as many files as you can highlight, drag, and drop. This is a clean, small program that requires no installation. Click on the EXE file's icon, and a small window appears. Drag and drop JPG files onto this window, and their "date modified" dates are immediately replaced with the EXIF "date picture taken". This has three main uses (for me, anyway). First, if I edit, crop, or otherwise change an image, most programs change the "date modified" date. This program resets it so that the modified image still appears in chronological order in which it was shot (not edited) if you sort by the default file date in Explorer. Second, if the camera's date/time was wrong (say, I flew to Australia and did not reset the camera's clock-calendar), I can easily adjust the EXIF "picture taken" date of a whole directory of files using EXIF Date Changer (another simple, clean, free download), then use JPGDateChanger to make the "date modified" match. This eliminates headaches in coordinating pictures taken with different cameras, by different people, matching pictures to schedules of days and events, etc. Finally, if I make panoramas or montages from multiple images (I use Hugin for this, a powerful public domain program that takes a while to master), the montages have no "date picture taken" in the EXIF data at all. I use MetaEditor (still another free download) to create and set an EXIF.Photo.DateTimeOriginal value to the date when the images were photographed. Then I use JPGDateChanger to set the "date modified" file system date to match, so my panoramas sort in chronological order with the original images shot before and after them, rather than sorting to after my trip, when I stitched the panoramas together.
