JpegInfo views and edits JPEG image file header information date & time image was digitized; make & model of camera; F/stop , Windows Title, Subject, Comments, Keywords, and Author. Info is embedded in the file and stays with the file. Also has advanced search facility, slide show, and generate Index catalogue pages (in HTML). Version 1.3 allows addition of any node of your choice. Fixes bug with Canon's use of integer arrays. Added feature to Batch update or delete of nodes.

trouble installing on WinXP SP2

Installation failed on Windows XP SP2 with this message:<p>Module C:\Windows\System32\System32\msxml4.dll failed to register.<p>Attempted to fix by installing MS XML 4.0 Service Pack 2 from microsoft.com web site.<p>Now JpegInfo installs but won't run: error message is: component "comdlg32.ocx" or one of its dependencies not correctly registered.<p>This appears to be an ActiveX control which ships with the Microsoft Visual Basic runtime. Installing this control is too scary to contemplate, security-wise, so I give up.
