A detailed view of the icon you're working with takes up the most screen real estate, surrounded by a selection of common editing tools. A search function scans your PC for available icons to edit, and you can import various graphics. As for features, Easy Icon Maker gives you a lot to work with. Besides letting you alter basic attributes such as color and size, the app has a nice arsenal of effects, including sharpening, softening, embossing, and inverting. it even allows working with channels and set transparency to alpha channel. On the whole, Easy Icon Maker is a nice editing program that will be useful to Web designers or to anyone else who routinely works with icons.

Summary
I paid my $19.95 and downloaded the program. I use Vista so maybe that was the problem but the application did nothing but crash. I have a new computer so it wasn't my operating system. I wouldn't be upset that the thing didn't work, but I sent two email requests for help and never got a return email and then I found a better FREE icon maker on the internet that actually works.

Poor support for exporting icons to different image types. Saving as a jpeg results in quality loss. Saving as a gif does not work at all. No support at all for exporting alpha channel.

Not really worth the time. Always closes when I'm in the middle of making icond for my folders!
