IT Asset Tracking allows you to track equipment you are responsible for in a SQLite database on the iPhone or iPod. You can take a picture of your item and store on your device. You add the Item and a new transaction and then from there you enter all the activity associated with that that item in the transaction screen every time there is a change in status. On the Item Screen there is a Brand Button and on the Activity Screen there is a Transaction Code Button that leads you to a picker screen that allows you to select the code and also allows editing on the codes. There is a search bar that allows you to search either the Items or the Transactions. The Item Search searches the name, brand, location and numbers. The Tran Search searches the Item number, notes, reference and transaction code.

What's new in version 2.0
Updated screens so they would look good in both iOS6 and iOS7 , plus added ability to use the camera to scan the item number, Serial Number and UPC instead of typing. You toggle between Text and Barcode and it is done with a Bar Button on the bottom right. It will be Text the first time you use it then you can change by making your selection from a dialog box. When in text mode the UPC and Serial Text fields are read only and you click the Serial & UPC Labels (they are actually clear buttons that are disabled when in text mode). If you want to scan the numbers from a bar code you will select the Barcode option, then you will be presented with a camera view to scan a bar code. All the same validation occurs for both Text and Camera, and I tested the scanner on both barcodes from my computer screen, and on actual bar codes printed on products. It does take a little bit to get the hang of pointing the scanner and capturing the bar coding and there does have to be good lighting with no glare, but I was successful with scanning both 1-d and 2-d labels.
