  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Well, this is nice Idea, and quite well done, but there is few problems: -color balance. it was nice with my Canon A70 but with my Minolta 7D SLR the balance is quite bad, seems like there is far less contrast and gamma... -not up to date for iLife 06, that use a new file system. I think this is the reason of the crash I see. I have to press start again everytime someone go watch my pix... -is this software dead? I mean, i did contact developpers for my problems and never had any answer. And this wasnt update for so long! -not easily customable. i did change the hiden .css to make it more pleasent to see haha Its realy bad because if we do update it, would be a must have! But I'm searching for a comparable softare that is as convenient and fast as this one. This one is lightening fast and dont slow down much ur computer... Its a good software but i cant recommand it if you have iPhoto 06. Its fine with 05 by the way. I'm waiting for update or an other software.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I just gotta say that this utility is great and improving. I publish over 2500 photo with 50+ albums, and it took me minutes to set up. Yes, you have to know what you are doing with your router if youa re using this at home, but most routers are fairly easy to work with. if you can't figure it out, get your nerdy friend to help. Easy to use, feature rich, and free. What else can you ask for? Two feature I especially like are the ability to add the same library multiple times and enable different albums for each Library instance. I also like that users can now download full files. I've already donated $10. If they add keyword display and searching, I will donate more! :-) I could not be happier with this program. OK, I could , but I'm really quite happy.

When I look closer, then I see at the far left the divider line designed to seperate the 2 frames. I can pull it to the right but it snaps back. Explain this to a Windows user.. Mac users are only 1.75% on this planet. Even if you count the Netscape users (that browser performs well with iPhotoWebShare) then you still end up with the majority of people having difficulties to view my gallery. Regarding Firefox: the navigation buttons in Media pop up window view are misplaced. The program is actually SUPER. I tried the 2 others out there (forget them) - and I'm astonished that only roughly 500 people downloaded iPhotoWebShare until now? No advertising? However it must be improved -- unless you want to deliver your pictures only to Safari users... PS: the page on the link given in a previous post shows iPhotoWebShare as I modded it - the actual program look is different.

Just copy the pref pane into your pref panes folder and use Sys prefs to set up, and you're good to go. I have just a couple of suggestions that I will post here and send to the developer, but I recommend this product. I've used myPhoto for years, but this product is just too darned easy to use. 1) If there is only one library, don't show the library drop down on the web page 2) Put the web page title on the screen, above the library drop down, maybe use h2 tags 3) In system prefs, allow the users to select a default album for the opening page. 4) In system prefs allow the user to select max number thumbs to display. One choice for small, med and large. 5) Some albums are red and unselectable. No indication why. 6) In the slide show screen, have a link to download the fill size pict and a link to see the exif data. These should be optional and set on or off in the sys pane. For each album would be even better, but I would settle for the whole web site. All in all, a great program that I intend to use.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />This is a very interesting program. This installs as a System Pref, and that's it. You set the iPhoto Library(ies), set which albums to publish, and hit start. Very easy. Nice that is so easily supports multiple libraries. Now, the problems: 1) No e-mail, that I can find, to send feedback! 2) When an individual photo is selected, a large slideshow window opens, but there is nothing displayed in the window. 3) The iPhoto 5 folder hierarchy is not displayed. All the albums are flattened. Folder are just displayed as albums containing all the photo in the inner folders and albums. 4) No paging for the albums. Also the picture show on one page. Fine when view locally, but over the net a large album will load pretty slow. Best to let the user set rows and columns (it lets you set columns), and have way to page through the album. overall, a great start. This should be version 0.9, not 1.0 though. Much easier to install than myPhoto or WebPhoto, but those program are much richer. MyPhoto is still my first choice.

It should be possible to decrease load times though by using even smaller thumbnails. Takes pretty long to load even at the smallest size. Overall: Very recommended! Small improvements will make this awesome!
