Saves time+Now I can do test sites & take them with me!

Thanks so much to the author of this -now I can spend more time working in Wordpress and set up multiple test sites without any hassle! I picked this because it can be installed as a portable App (run entirely off a memory stick): Awesome as now I can take my test/demo sites with me and work/demo from any PC. It's actually a bonus that nothing installs in your main PC hard drive or program files folder - that way if you change your mind later there is nothing to uninstall - no mess to clean up: just wipe the usb stick and start over. (look up "portable apps" if you haven't before and you'll be hooked too!) Bottom line: This one has saved me heaps of time and hassle compared to trying to get all the separate things installed. Great way to test/protype - or as an easy way to get up and running to learn/experiment. It's a full wordpress instance so what you develop can be backed up and installed to a proper online wordpress server when you're ready.
Cons
Not a con so much as people need to understand the purpose of the software: It's for creating/starting/demoing/testing Wordpress sites and to let you work locally from your USB stick from anywhere. Like anything, you would need to backup what you're working on to some place secure (and do so often) depending on how important it is to you.

Installed it and...well it is no were to be found not even in the uninstall under windows. going to scan for Mal-ware.

Just what I was looking for! I wanted to learn to develop Wordpress websites so I needed a -fully- functional instance of Wordpress running on my local PC and/or maybe even on a USB stick so I could take it with me. I though it would be hard but I was wrong! This super-simple installer put EVERYTHING (Wordpress + Apache + MySQL + PHP) into one stand-alone (completely portable!) folder. ALL PAINLESSLY AND WITHOUT THE HASSLE of trying to install+configure each of those things separately! Wordpress running on my PC in less than 5 minutes without having to worry about any of the other (Apache+MySQL+PHP) stack components - a real time+headache saver! Icing on cake is when you start InstantWP.exe it AUTOMATICALLY STARTS ALL THE SERVICES/SERVERS in the background for you... Then when you're done, it closes them down for you. Yes, it is the little things that make all the difference!
Cons
Hardly worth mentioning but a slightly simpler way to set Firefox as the default browser (e.g. from InstantWP main screen) would be kinda nice. Though to be completely fair the FAQ section in the InstantWP site (http://www.instantwp.com/faq/) is easy enough to follow how/where to change this in the config file.

WordPress on the go, no need for boggy installations, boot off a USB for portable design. This is suitable for designers as well as novices looking to get started with WordPress. I really can't praise this genius little app enough! Looking at the previously posted review I honestly believe the author has totally missed the point. This app saves the need to install a local host on your PC such as WAMP which for a novice can be a bit tricky to say the least. I am a designer by trade and use Instant-WordPress regular as clockwork !!

Pros
Installs easy, but no icon on desktop, no entry on start-programs. One has to go to program files and find the exe and execute it. And then nothing happens.
Cons
Once executed, a progress bar comes in the middle of the screen, and stays there up to 80 to 90%, but the program never starts. A few min later, it shuts itself down. Restarting it has the same effect, it just doesnt work.
