Set iCal's icon to the current date in a choice of colors.
Is your iCal icon stuck in the past? iConiCal sets iCal's icon and dock icon to show the current date in a choice of colours, even when iCal is closed. iConiCal can be set to run at login, or at a scheduled time, so your iCal icon is always up to date. (Note - running daily is not necessary under 10.5)
When mac os x 10.4 opens, ical icon displays the date.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
The software does not work well. If you don't restart your computer, it does not update the date. So you have the original problem all over. Even when I restart the computer, it does not always update the icon. It needs more work.
I want to install it but I can't start it from its application icon.
nice effort but...

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
A previous reviewer commented as to why doesn't it show the month AND date in the dock. I agree. If the developer fixes that issue, hey, I'd pay for the program.
Also, when you uninstall, it freezes the icon on your iCal application to the date iConiCal was installed. I tried using iConiCal's preferences to change the iCal icon, it simply changed the one in the dock.
I ended up reinstalling iCal from the last 10.4.10 update
... But today really is the 17th!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Funny this version should come to my attention today. Today really is the 17th, the one day of the month iCal is right.
My Windows friends always comment that my clock is wrong when they see my unlaunched iCal icon in the dock. "That's just the icon," I say. But they criticize it anyway. Funny, I use MenuCalendarClock in my menubar - which looks like iCal's icon (only with the correct date), but they always see the icon in the dock. Windows users must be trained to look down.
Hey, this works! And it shuts up my friends.
Nice App, works great
