  Pros

  Takes a very little amount of memory, never crash, has a simple log.

  Cons

  You have to keep it always open, and is very hard to download very big mails, but this is a Hotmail limitation more than Popper.

  Easy to install, seems to function fine.

  The main problem I had with this product was the setup. I wanted to just try out Thunderbird (to get off of OE and Hotmail), but because Hotmail is proprietary, you can't just configure TB with HM. So I installed Popper and let it do it's thing. Maybe I just forgot to click "leave a copy on the server," but it not only downloaded all Hotmail messages, it removed them from the server! What's more, because I had more than 100 messages in my Inbox, I apparently zipped right through my 100 e-mail trial limit! The ads popped up right away asking for $18 to continue using it. There was no chance of actually trying it out and it would no longer access HM. For what it's worth, webmail.mozdev.org (use a non-IE browser) has a wonderful, free extension for TB that interfaces nicely with Hotmail. Takes a little extra configuring, but works great so far. I'm not saying Hotmail Popper wouldn't work just fine, but I'd rather give my $18 to a product that I was able to TEST first.

  Works sometimes, but not others, expensive considering what it is. Usually doesn't delete mail when i tell it to regardless of account settings in OExpress and I almost always get an error. Plus there is no initial setup information, you have to guess that the website will help you... which it does ONLY for setup. Not so great for a paid product

  Fantastic piece of software. My anti-virus program couldn't scan Hotmail e-mails before, well now it CAN and a virus has already been caught! I can't recommend this piece of software highly enough. :)

  Yep. Eighteen dollars for an e-mail forwarder. Can you say "too expensive"? I mean, the trial only lasts for 100 emails sent/recieved, so unless you are willing to pay $18 to use a Hotmail account, I suggest you just go find a free e-mail server that offers POP3.

  If you suffer with hotmail.com ads you're not using adblocking software. Get some. With hotmail poper you don't have to bother with the website. Pop and go. maybe they'll release a tool for Gmail or spymac... *hint* *hint* *hint* *hint*
