HomeLayout for Android

HomeLayout is a utility designed specifically for Xiaomi devices to maintain consistent home screen layouts. It operates as a background service, preserving the arrangement of icons, folders, and widgets across system reboots and device migrations. By integrating with MIUI and HyperOS, it allows users to store their layouts in Mi Cloud for easy backup and restoration, making it particularly useful for those who frequently switch devices or reset their settings. The app requires no user configuration and automatically manages grid sizes and arrangements, which simplifies the user experience for owners of Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO smartphones.

The functionality of HomeLayout is centered around its ability to write and preserve the home screen map, ensuring that app icon positions, folder contents, and widget placements are retained after reboots or when setting up a new device. It supports cloud synchronization for layout transfers, making it easy to migrate settings between devices. Operating as a low-attention background service, HomeLayout optimizes resource usage by managing layout metadata without heavy CPU or memory demands, thus maintaining system performance while running.
