Home Improvements by AI for Android

Home Improvements by AI, from Peter Negrete, is an Android app that functions as an AI-driven architect and room planner. It turns user photos into photorealistic redesigns while offering a virtual handyman for step-by-step DIY guidance and material estimates with direct product links. The app supports interior and exterior projects and a curated style library, aimed at homeowners, DIYers, designers, and agents who need quick visual planning tied to practical project organization.

A weekend remodel begins with a single photo

In practical use, the app turns a photographed room into a design mockup so a homeowner can compare layout ideas without sketching. The process centers on image uploads and style selection, producing high-quality renders that show finishes and fixtures in place. For people planning short projects, that workflow replaces paper notes and rough sketches with a visible plan to discuss with contractors or household decision makers.

Connects design ideas directly to real-world supplies

The app links visual planning to product sourcing by exposing live retailer listings and inventory pages, which helps users match looks to available items. Retailers referenced include Home Depot, Lowe's, IKEA, and Floor & Decor, so procurement research happens inside the same session. The developer groups product access and project lists so users can keep a running shopping reference tied to each room design.

Practical guidance for DIYers and project coordination

The built-in AI handyman answers installation and measurement questions and supplies stepwise DIY guidance, which benefits weekend renovators and casual remodelers. The app also produces material estimates for planning and schedules that can be used when talking to contractors. Because it is Android-only and distributed through the Play Store, setup follows typical mobile permission prompts and account flows familiar to mobile users.

Privacy and evolving feature set require simple checks

The app requires users to upload photos so the AI can generate designs, so reviewers should check image and storage permissions during onboarding. As a recent release, functionality and integrations may expand over time; users who rely on stable, unchanging toolchains should monitor updates. For those who try the app, keeping original photos and exporting design notes helps preserve a reference outside the application.

To sum up, a practical planning companion for hands-on renovators

To sum up, Home Improvements by AI is a practical option for homeowners and DIY-focused renovators who want visual project planning tied to procurement and on-the-job guidance; expect the feature set to continue evolving as a recent release. Pro tip: verify app permission prompts and save original photos before uploading so you retain an offline reference while you experiment with designs.
