• Worst software I have ever encountered

  This software advertises compatibility with all major email clients, including Windows Live Mail. They DON'T tell you the email scheduler (the main reason for buying in the first place as you can design templates in a host of other programs far more easily)doesn't work with Windows Live Mail. It ONLY works with Outlook, which you cannot use in Windows 7. Templatezone can't fix it. When you send an email the recipients see strange symbols all over the copy - these are not visible on test mails or when compiling the template. Templatezone can't fix it. Editing is a total nightmare - forget it - it will drive you mad. Templatezone can't fix it. Symbols - most importantly the £ sign in the UK cannot be inserted correctly - it appears as a small square. Multiple methods of inserting/overcoming this issue failed. Likewise with inverted commas/quote marks. Templatezone can't fix it. The Unsubscribe button does not work and - you've guessed it - Templatezone can't fix it.

  Summary

  None of these issues were able to be fixed by "Support", which is by far the very worst I have ever encountered. They simply do not answer until you contact the supposed boss called Jim Kinlan personally, and that usually after several days of waiting. When they do answer they know absolutely nothing and failed to address a single issue. I wasted two weeks of my valuable time with this software, yet when I complained formally to Kinlan, he suggested all this was my fault and that I should look elsewhere for software. Take my advice and do yourself a big favour - do NOT touch this software with a bargepole - even if free with something else. It is frankly, utterly useless, not fit for purpose and a complete waste of time. I'm surprised consumer laws here and in the US haven't yet resulted in prosecution. Leave well alone is my firm advice.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Jun 12, 2013<p/>I should have said - I had the High Impact Email Platinum version and the UK symbol I couldn't insert is the pound sterling sign. Looks like Cnet has the same problem in displaying it.

  Pros

  fairly easy to use, possible power features if they would put a little work into it.

  Cons

  ZERO support, they claim a 100% satisfaction, but try getting a hold of anyone via email, phone, or any other means. It is not possible.

  Summary

  I would never recommend a product that the maker refuses to stand behind.

• Sending and designing templates HORRIBLE!

  Pros

  Monitors and updates your email listings without you having to do a thing. Sends to your listings quickly and effectively.

  Cons

  Tried sending to individual people after editing email list - Ended up resending to everyone on the list so they got the mailshot twice! Worst design package ever! Can't design what I'm needing within the program, so I designed it elsewhere and saved as HTML. Tried to bring it into High Impact...only way I could find to do it was to copy and paste. Alignment out, pictures missing...I don't have time for this rubbish! I wish I'd never bought the program. :-(

  If you want to use their templates, then program ok, but don't get it if you want to do your own thing.

  Pros

  Allows my clients to add and remove additional people from the mail list quick and easy with no intervention from me, templates are cool and gives you a very easy creative advantage

  Cons

  Program is very unstable and your template will need to be redone over and over till you have it properly. If you decide to do constant test mails you will then re do it one more time and send immediately or you will re do it again as the spacing goes all out of wack. I have learned to email it to myself and then manually forward it to my client list making the Pro I have listed un usable function :-(

  Summary

  Should this program have all its bugs eliminated this is a product I would make available to my complete client base. I really think they have a winner here but the bugs will need some work. I use it currently for my news letters but I am a very patient person and have spent a lot of hours working with beta programs where I fell this program should be. Unfortunately no updates have been made available as yeat so who knows maby I'll just use another program from now on as time is starting to become an issue using this program. In my perfect world thou the bugs will get fixed and I'll be quite content in using this program for many years to come

  Pros

  I have used version 4 for almost 3 years now with no problems at all. This new version adds even more templates &#38; functionality. Hi Impact email allows you to create stunning looking emails and email stationary, including mailmerge &#38; client database

  Cons

  The main problem is trying to decide which template or theme to use as there are so many to choose from.

  Summary

  Great product and great price. If you are running a business I would recommend this product for your email marketing campaigns.

• Great looking products lots of bugs

  Pros

  The templates are extremely professional looking. the program is intuitive, easy to use, and flexible. There are a lot of options and easily customizable.

  Cons

  It can literallly take hours to get thru to customer service. Once there the techs are knowledgable, professional . I have a problem of one sort or another 7 out of 10 times.

  Summary

  They need to stop and fix the bugs. One bad review does more damage than 10 positive reviews can do good.

  Stay away 30 day trial does not allow for saving work or really trying it out. Menus stink and are not easy to use. Requires that you set up a web transfer account for your graphics. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOG

  Ideally all I wanted this software for was to easily design some newsletters. In theory, the software is visually appealing and easy to use.

  Cons

  Unfortunately, there are soooo many bugs that no matter what you do, the program shuts down on you every few minutes. The worst part is that unless you manually save every change you make, all information will be lost and you will have to start from scratch. I followed every troubleshooting tip and tried 3 different computers with the same result. Called their support phone number 8 times and only got voicemail during "regular business hours." Email support was never answered. I eventually had to chargeback my credit card. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!
