HiddenView is an innovative Android application designed to assist users in discovering films based on their mood, genre, era, or director. This app combines traditional movie selection with engaging game-like elements such as quizzes and a random 'Movie Roulette' feature, making it suitable for both cinephiles and casual viewers. Users can create personalized watchlists and utilize a weekly viewing planner, allowing for organized movie nights and social film selection. Its playful approach to discovering films transforms the often mundane task of choosing what to watch into a fun and interactive experience.
The app operates by allowing users to navigate through various discovery filters and manage their personal lists effectively. The core functionality includes browsing by mood or director, adding titles to a watchlist, and scheduling them in a weekly planner. Notably, HiddenView does not stream or host films, which keeps the focus on selection rather than playback. This design choice fosters a dedicated environment for users to curate their viewing experiences, supplemented by a personal rating system and notes.
