Healed To Death flips the rogue-lite formula by placing you as the party healer, not the sword-swinging frontliner. Your job is to keep allies alive, not just charge into combat. You’ll explore eight dungeons, draft from 35 hero types, and juggle a growing list of healing and support spells.

Healed To Death borrows its rhythm from MMORPG healing mechanics but frames them inside a fast-paced, loot-driven dungeon crawler. You won’t just be healing but also managing spell upgrades, collecting gear, and slaying undead. With over 100 monsters and 22 bosses to encounter, your skills will be tested at every corner.

Healers run the show

Your party is your responsibility in Healed To Death. You begin each run by assembling a squad from 35 distinct hero types, each with its own behavior and combat role. However, you can't control their actions, but your healing choices can mean life or death. The game leans heavily on positioning and timing, you’ll need to manage cooldowns, prioritize targets, and react quickly to enemy waves. 

With 32 spells and 274 potential upgrades, it offers a flexible build system that keeps gameplay fresh across runs. Each upgrade alters your healing or support mechanics, allowing synergies or narrowly focused strategies. You’ll unlock buffs, area effects, and even spells that deal damage through healing energy. Planning your build becomes part of the challenge, especially as enemy types and dungeon hazards increase. 

The game brings in loot-based progression with magical armor, enchanted trinkets, and spell modifiers dropping regularly to be purchased or equipped between runs. The eight dungeons offer unique layouts, enemy compositions, and boss encounters. Though repetition can still set in across multiple runs, potentially affecting the long-term loop of experimentation and adjustment. There’s also a permanent upgrade system, allowing you to modify your playstyle over time.

A unique take on support roles

Healed To Death sticks to its healing concept without straying into hybrid territory. It doesn’t split the focus between roles or rely on damage-first systems. Instead, it isolates support mechanics and builds everything else around them. Though you can't control your team directly and repetition can set in across dungeons. It simulates the tension and responsibility of healing in battle while layering progression through gear, upgrades, and party composition.
