This package lets you play solitaire games in three dimensions. The brick and wood interface is very cozy, plunging you into a relaxing fairy-tale atmosphere. Animations are realistic and will make full use of your video card. The player can set backgrounds, music, and card decks. Hardwood Solitaire III includes about 80 solitaire variations such as Klondike, FreeCell, Pyramid, Golf, Four Seasons, Canfield, Forty Thieves, Sea Towers, Spider, and Yukon. You will not be overwhelmed by all this variety because a special browser helps you search for and preview games by time and skill required, chances to win, and rules. I've been using this for years and still love it to pieces - my favourite is Josephine - and now I'm moving over to MAC I'm trying to find out if there's a version for Mac. And then I came across this so I thought I just had to leave my review. <p> <p>Oh, and to that fellow who had problems unlocking the copy he'd bought his poor old grandma.....I'm sorry, but I think you're a bit of a nit, you could quite easily have registered it on your own pc, copied the unlock code to a disk and sent it down to her. I keep a copy of the unlock code for each time I buy a new PC/laptop. Just to save going thru the rego thing again.

Just a litle bit slow to load - even with the fastest Core 2 Duo processor and 2gb of RAM it still takes several seconds to load. <p> <p>The only other thing is that there doesn't seem to be a version for Mac.

Once purchased, the product ABSOLUTELY CANNOT be "unlocked" without internet access. I purchased a copy for my 91 year old mom (she is in North Carolina while I live in California). She does not have internet access, so I was forced to ask a friend in NC to try & help her out. After a week of trying the various tummy rubs & head pats suggested by Silver Creek "Support", the program was still not "unlocked" and the registry on my mom's computer had been trashed. This sort of draconian protection scheme should raise a huge red flag for anyone even considering purchasing this program, or any other Silver Creek product.
